What a connector is

A connector creates a controlled link between AI and a database, API, file service, or workplace application. Its behavior depends on configuration and permissions granted by the external system.

Install and configure

• Open Connectors under Experts and review a connector detail page.
• Check its maintainer, data access, and required permissions before installation.
• Configure credentials in the installed list. Never paste credentials into a conversation.
• Use the connection test to validate network, identity, and permission settings.

Use connectors safely

• Prefer read-only, least-privilege credentials.
• Rotate credentials regularly and revoke them when no longer needed.
• Review the target and impact before a write, delete, or data export operation.
